The Dean’s email arrived today, formal and efficient, announcing a call for papers for an upcoming Cornell Conference. I’ve been wanting to really develop a paper, to sink my teeth into something big, but I’m just spinning my wheels. It feels like none of the professors are really available to help me build an idea from the ground up.
But today, an opportunity popped up. Cornell Law is having its big Inter-University Graduate Conference. I was excited... until I saw the topics. International Public Law and Philosophy of Law. Not exactly my wheelhouse. Still, it got me thinking.
If I manage to tackle this, where do I find the competent counsel that I have already failed to secure?
